Watch Out For Danger- There are places, people, and animals that you need to watch out for. Some of the places are: Snake River and Humboldt River. Also don't go on the trails Appplegato, west of the south pass, and on the southern end of Willarnette Valley. Some of the Native American tribes that you need to watch out for are the tribes called: Chickasaw, Illini, Ioway, Missouri, Osage, Otoe, and Quapaw tribes. You do not want to mess around with any of these Native American tribes because they don't like the white people any so they could kill you if you make them angry. I recommend that you stay away from them as much as you can so that you or your family doesn't get hurt.
Landmarks- There are a couple pretty landmark along this trail that you can stop at and look at the view such as Chimney Rock, Independence Rock, and Scott's Bluff. Good Eats- There are many good tasting animals out on this trail such as buffalo, deer, elk, fish, and bison. Adidas, Impossible Is Nothing

This trail is a way to get to gold, in a shorter amount of time then other trails. While on your journey, you will face rough terrain such as mountains and desserts. If you are looking for gold like it is your life, then get in your covered wagon, get you some oxen or mules, and be on your way. But, you might want to hurry for 2 reasons. One, a transcontinental railroad is going to be built in place of this trail, so act fast! And, secondly, if you leave too late, you might get caught up in winter weather, and there might not be a lot of grass left for your animals to graze on. Also, you might get caught up in bad thunderstorms and fierce winds. Don't forget about the Native American tribes.
